Today’s featured book The Sun and The Planets by Patricia Geis, reviewed by our reader and local mom Yvette, is a very detailed and informative adventure about earth and outer space, with pop-ups, pull-outs, sliders, and foldouts.
The Sun and The Planets
This book starts off as if we are taking a spaceship to outer space with many very interesting facts along the way. This book is very informative and gives a huge insight on our universe.
It explains the rotation of the sun and planets:
It shows us galaxies and where and how to find them:
My boys loved the pop-up features of this book, it was very appealing. I could not read it all in one sitting. They lost interest and wanted me to hurry up and finish it. We finished the book within three attempts. It is a ton of extra information in this book. It is very detail oriented, unfortunately it takes more time to get thru the entire book with littles. I did not like that many of the words are very tiny and hard to read.

My Friends and I is a fun, interactive, timeless memory book for children ages 5-12, that travels from friend to friend, who will answer questions like: What is your favorite food? What do you like to do in your free time? What songs do you like to listen to? What books do you like to read? What do you want to be when you grow up?
A picture box allows them to insert a photograph or to draw a picture of their own.
The book is a great way for your child to learn more about their family, friends, classmates, teachers, coaches, and any other special person in their life, and a wonderful keepsake of their childhood memories.
