Oktoberfest, the iconic German celebration since 1812, is so legendary it even has its own beer—Oktoberfest brew! And thanks to the
German-Texan Heritage Society, Austin gets a taste of this authentic celebration. Held at the historic German Free School in the Red River Cultural District, you can enjoy the festivities in a charming setting with terraced gardens. With fun for the whole family, including kids' activities like pumpkin painting, this event is all about the German spirit of

It’s a way for kids to learn more about each other and create a keepsake they’ll treasure for years. “My Friends and I” brings that tradition to life in English, with fun prompts like:

🎶 What songs do you love?
📚 What books do you enjoy?
🌟 What do you want to be when you grow up?
