
The average costs for school supplies every year is $35 which creates an extra burden for already challenged families as well as for teachers, who often spend their own money buying missing supplies for their classrooms and students.
In order to ease the burden of both families and teachers, school districts that are continuously facing tighter budgets, are trying to outsource the financial obligation by requesting that parents help provide these supplies.

There’s a new playground in town! And, what can we say, it’s awesome!
On January 23rd, Joanne Land Playground at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock opened its doors to children of all ages. This Extreme Generation Play Unit is different than any other playground in the 512 and rivals our two favorite playgrounds, the All Abilities Park also in Round Rock and the Creative Playscape in Georgetown (what’s up with all the cool playgrounds being up North?).
