You may have heard about the student-led movement March For Our Lives whose mission and focus it is to demand that a comprehensive and effective bill be immediately brought before Congress to address the gun violence issues that are rampant in our country.

On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington, DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority.

And so does Austin.

Austin Bakes is a group of bloggers, foodies, and local businesses, who are raising money for relief efforts and humanitarian aid following disasters both local and worldwide. 

This Saturday, November 4th, 10am-2pm, Austin Bakes is hosting a citywide bake sale to provide funds to aid disaster relief for those affected by hurricanes and earthquakes in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Virgin Islands, and the wildfires in California. Read on for details.

Free Family-Friendly Event to Help You Find The Right School for Your Child

The average costs for school supplies every year is $35 which creates an extra burden for already challenged families as well as for teachers, who often spend their own money buying missing supplies for their classrooms and students.
