Glad we got your attention!
LCRA just announced that effective at 8:30 p.m. today, Lake Travis will be closed to recreational boating.
And this is the reason why:
Submerged objects pose increase danger to recreational boaters, swimmers, and anyone near the water.
Boat wakes have a detrimental impact to property.
Lake Travis is continuing to rise slowly and will potentially reach 693.0 feet msl this evening.
Flows are strong and swift following recent rains and ongoing releases from floodgates at dams. Anyone on or near the water should use extreme caution.
Long story short: Please stay off the lake!
