“I’m new to Austin and I’m looking for other Mama’s in the area.”
“We’re expecting and would love to meet up with other expecting parents.”
“Stay-at-home Dad is looking for other Dads to take the kids to fun places.”
Sounds familiar? Maybe you’re transitioning from "your normal life" to a life with children. Or you’re a stay-at-home Mom or Dad who’s looking for things to do with your kids during the week. Or you’re a working Mom or Dad that would like to meet up with other parents and kids on the weekends. Or you’re new to the 512 and just want to socialize and interact with other Moms and Dads.
Whatever you’re looking for, do not despair, my friends. We’ve just added the category Play Groups / Mom Groups / Dad Groups to our directory which currently lists 119 groups and will help you get connected. There are:
- Mom groups
- Dad groups
- Religious play groups
- Single parent groups
- Gay and lesbian parent groups
- Groups for parents and kids with disabilities
- Foreign language playdate groups
- Crafting groups
- Outdoorsy family meetups
- And more.
Those groups do lots of fun stuff, such as:
- Play dates
- Lunches, dinners, picnics
- Movie nights
- Story times
- Festivals and kids shows
- In-home gatherings
- Sporting events
- Parent-child classes
- And more.
If you need ideas for things to do with your group, we’ve got lots of them. Hop over to our directory and search by category, location, and age.
You can also use our Mom Groups, Dad Groups & Playdates message board to connect, schedule play dates, ask for advice, share experiences, or just socialize.
If you are or were a member of any of the groups listed in our directory, let other parents know what you like about the group and leave a review on the bottom of the listing. If you're the admin of the group, claim your group by clicking on the Claim Business button.
If you’re part of a group that is currently not listed in our directory, have the group admin add the group for free and contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then upgrade the listing to a premium listing (All Access Plan), which allows the group to add pictures, descriptions, events, and more.
